Cranford

The Venice of NJ!

Cranford was established in 1871, and some homes along the Rahway River still retain their Victorian charm!  It is home to more than 24,000 people who enjoy its parks, recreational facilities, shopping, dining and outstanding schools.  Cranford's downtown is home to many restaurants and unique specialty shops which attract visitors from many neighboring towns.  The Star-Ledger named Cranford the best downtown in New Jersey in 2018 and 2019 after an online vote.

Cranford is is served by the NJ Transit bus and Raritan Valley train line, and is convenient to the Garden State Parkway, making it a desirable town for commuters.

Cranford is nicknamed "Little Venice" due to its location along the river.  Residents can rent canoes and kayaks from the Cranford Canoe Club.

No wonder Cranford ranks consistently among the TOP 50 places to live in New Jersey!
